Scientists & Innovators in the Schools (SITS)
SITS is a program administered by the , a registered not-for-profit organization that helps inform and excite students of all ages about science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This goal is realized through their "Speakers Bureau" service, which provides teachers, students, community leaders, and the general public with access to volunteers from various fields of science and technology who are willing to give classroom presentations, lead field trips, judge at science fairs, or attend career days.
The Speakers Bureau is made up of volunteers in many scientific fields, representing academia, government, non-governmental organizations, and private industry. Whether geologists, meteorologists, chemists, physicists, environmental engineers, architects, marine biologists or others involved in science, mathematics, technology or engineering, they all share an eagerness to be involved with education and the promotion of science.
If you are interested in becoming a SITS volunteer, either through their Speakers' Bureau or as a mentor or science fair judge, please use this .
