Max Legere
Saint John, New Brunswick į
Passionate about education, innovation, music, and business, Max Legere already has an impressive array of leadership experiences under his belt. In addition to playing the piano for and heading the tenor section of his high school’s 100-person concert choir, he was the drama and arts committee head on student council and part of the starting lineup for the varsity soccer team.
A vacancy at his local farmers’ market spurred Max to start his first business, College Fund Coffee, which quickly grew from just coffee to an expanded menu, catering, and merchandising. “I lead many fundraisers throughout the regular school year, raising over $1500 for charity with my coffee business,” he explains. “I also started a fundraiser during the early phases of COVID-19 to help local teens most affected and took a job at a local grocery store to support my community.” į
Max is “flooded with gratitude, pride, and excitement” about winning an Innovators Scholarship, and plans to pursue a CPA designation after finishing his degree. He looks forward to getting involved in Enactus, the Commerce Society, and “anywhere else where I can be a part of a team for a good cause.” į
